Subsidy Application
This subsidy prioritises financial support, based on evidence of need, to groups that experience challenging circumstances and covers the participation fee for Music for Youth events.
Please note the subsidy pot is limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
After looking at the information below regarding criteria and the application process, please download and fill out the form and submit it to programmes@mfy.org.uk.
Criteria
Any group that fits one or more of the eligibility criteria below can apply for a subsidy. However, these are granted and capped on a first come, first served basis for each MFY event.
Eligibility criteria:
They are a school or music group located in either an ACE Priority Place or a place listed on the Indicies of deprivation report
The group is young person led
Independent community led groups that fall into an area listed above
Application Process
Once you receive an invitation to perform in an MFY event you need to complete the subsidy application form (see above).
Please evidence the need for financial assistance referencing the criteria outlined on the Subsidy Policy and submit to programmes@mfy.org.uk.
Music for Youth will make a decision on all applications within good time of the date of the event and will inform all applicants via email.
What does the subsidy cover?
You can apply for the reimbursement of your participation fee at Regional Festivals, National Festival and the Proms. If successful, you will receive this reimbursement to the payment card used when securing your performance spot.
