The Music for Youth Proms showcases the brilliance of young musicians from across the whole UK. Known for its electric atmosphere and diverse musical performances, each night, over 1000 amazing young musicians perform on the iconic Royal Albert Hall stage in ensembles, bands, and choirs large and small. From orchestral classics to traditional folk and roots and from big band jazz to big sound rock and pop.
This year’s Music for Youth Proms will feature the world premiere of a brand-new commission by Scottish composer Aileen Sweeney, with evocative text by poet Iona Lee. Rooted in the powerful and timeless theme of Folklore and inspired by the legendary tale of the Giant’s Causeway, this piece will be a highlight of the event – an unforgettable experience for performers and audiences alike. The piece is commissioned in partnership with BBC, ABRSM and the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Ten Pieces project.

Creative Project - BBC 10 Pieces - BOOKINGS NOW OPEN
The Proms will feature its biggest creative project yet in 2025 where the massed ensemble featured over 1,500 young people each night. Bookings are NOW OPEN and close 2nd October 2025 and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are limited and filling fast – book now to secure your place!
PLEASE NOTE: Spaces for Instrumentalists are now fully booked, but if you would wish to be added to our waiting list, please sign up via the link in this section. We still have spaces for vocalists on Monday 10th November 2025.
