PRIMARY LIVE AT THE MUSIC FOR YOUTH NATIONAL FESTIVAL 2023

Engage and inspire your musicians with music for young people, by young people. 

Music for Youth's Primary Live concert is coming to Birmingham as part of the 2023 National Festival, on Friday 7th July. This free concert will provide children aged 4-11 with the opportunity to experience live music-making at the world-renowned Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

DATE: Friday 7th July 2023 

TIMES:  11am – 12noon  

VENUE: Symphony Hall, Birmingham 

Presenting dynamic, vibrant and eclectic performances by talented young musicians, this concert, in partnership with B:Music and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, aims to inspire and motivate the next generation of music-makers. Audiences will be guided through this interactive concert by presenter and musician, Pete Letanka, plus, an online curriculum-based learning resource will be made available in advance to enhance the Primary Live experience.  

The Primary Live concert will:

  • Inspire and motivate the next generation of young musicians 
  • Enable children to hear a wide range of different musical styles from all over the world 
  • Engage in audience participation activities and provide follow-up activities for the classroom

This inspirational concert really motivated the class in their music listening and learning. We got to experience a wide range of music they wouldn't normally get to.
