Frequencies Music Video Festival
Original stories told by young people
Applications are now open for the Frequencies Music Video festival.
The first UK-wide festival where film and music meet, featuring digital content created by young people aged 16 to 25. Whether emerging or established, the festival empowers young independent filmmakers, producers, and musicians to tell their stories, no matter who or where they are.
The first edition of the Frequencies Music Video festival will take place in April 2024.
Bringing together a national network of partners committed to celebrating creativity, the festival showcases future talent with an award ceremony, film screenings, workshops and inspirational panel discussions.
The winning creatives will receive various prizes, including cash rewards, equipment and/or software.
New Music Residency
The New Music Residency brings together artists and composers to work in collaboration and upscale their music for a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Each year successful applicants are supported with a £1,000 bursary to support their participation, professional mentoring and a performance on the iconic Royal Albert Hall stage.
Are you an artist, band or producer who wants to perform at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, and work with an arranger?
Are you an arranger or composer that would like to write scores for large orchestras or ensembles, and work with an artist, band or producer?
Successful candidates will be supported through:
- A £1,000 bursary to support you throughout this project
- A performance slot at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London in November 2024
- Professional press materials, including photographs and video
- 4+ hours of mentoring by an Industry Professional
- 4+ hours of FREE rehearsal time with the ensembles

Creative Careers
Creative Careers provides paid work experience, training, and mentoring opportunities with industry professionals.
- Paid work experience in Presenting, Stage Tech/ Crew, Marketing and Social Media, BSL Interpreter, and Production roles.
- 4+ hours of mentoring with an industry professional, including professional TV and radio presenters, photographers, stage crew etc.
- Professional experience to add onto your CV
- Work at iconic music venues across the UK including the Royal Albert Hall in London and Symphony Hall, Town Hall and CBSO Centre in Birmingham.
