Exhibition raising funds for Music for Youth is now open!

Long-time MFY supporter, campaigner, past NUT general secretary and esteemed photographer, Fred Jarvis, CBE is hosting his last and biggest photography exhibition in the Marble Hall at TUC Congress House in aid of three charities.

"Before Selfies", Fred's biggest and last exhibition, is a colourful and celebratory collection of important moments and interesting figures from throughout the past 70 years of news events, politics, theatre and music. Featuring images from across Fred's vast and varied portfolio, including Music for Youth events such as the World's Largest Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, the collection has been hailed as "an extraordinary record" taking its cues from his many experiences including his time as NUT general secretary and as a lifelong campaigner for education.

The opening exhibition auction was overseen by Lord David Puttnam and led by Neil Kinnock, David Lammy MP and Robert Peston, and all sales of photos both at the auction and during the exhibition run will benefit 3 charities; Music for Youth, the National Youth Theatre, and North London Hospice.

The exhibition is open to the public weekdays from 10am – 5pm from now until 9 February. Bid for a photo and help raise money for the three charities, or just pop in for a look!
