Held in the stunning setting of one of the world's best know concert halls, two concerts allow 9,000 children from across the capital to experience some of the city's most talented and inspirational young musicians.
There will be performances from Pimlico Academy Steel Band, Maria Fidelis Convent School Gospel Choir, Cardinal Vaughan Big Band, Symmetry and the London Schools Symphony Orchestra.

Primary Prom Concerts; 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.00pm
The Primary Prom concerts are all about inspiring the next generation of music-makers. A total of 4,000 Birmingham and West Midland's primary school children aged 4-11 experienced the thrill of live music-making. The performers, all young musicians from across the Midlands, presented a diverse programme of musical styles that showcased the energetic and eclectic mix of performing talent within the region.
Ensembles performing included Birmingham Schools’ Concert Orchestra, Birmingham Music Service Wider Opportunities Group, Coleshill Heath Primary School Song Writing Project, South Asian Youth Music Orchestra and the Latin Funk group The Copycat Empire.

Hull City Hall
Primary Prom Concerts; 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.00pm
2,500 primary school children aged 4-11 from across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire attended the first ever Hull Primary Prom. The performers, all young musicians from across the North East, presented a diverse programme of musical styles that showcased the energetic and eclectic mix of performing talent within the region.
Ensembles performing included Woldgate College Song Writing Project, the Rainbow Connection Youth Choir from Doncaster, Egglescliffe School Youth Orchestra and rock group The Naughty Vicars from Stockton-on-Tees and the City of Hull Youth Percussion Ensemble. These concerts provide a unique opportunity for primary school children to experience live music in one of the one of the finest concert halls in the country.
