Registration for physical Regional Festivals has now closed! However, if you missed the deadline, or if it's not possible to get to a Festival for any reason, you can still be involved by sending in a video and/or audio recording of your group as a Recorded Entry.

You'll receive feedback from a Music Mentor and be eligible for progression through to different events in our season, such as the National Festival, in exactly the same way you would from a physical Regional Festival. Just sign up using the Book Now button on the right hand side of the page. Recorded entry closes on 5th March 2018.

Guidelines for submitting a recorded entry are the same as entry for a Regional Festival performance, and you sign up in the same way:

  • Your group must contain 2 or more performers.

  • All performers must be aged 21 or under.

  • Your entry should be no longer than 10 minutes in length.

  • Any style of music is accepted, and welcome!

Your recorded entry can be in either audio or video format, and will need to be uploaded to a site like Youtube, Soundcloud or Vimeo. After you've registered, the link to your performance will then need to submitted to us through your account some time before 5th March 2018 . If you choose to make the file password protected, please remember to include the details we will need in order to be able to access it.

The Regional Festival Series is free to take part in and open to any type of group, style of music, and standard of playing. We only ask that you're a group of two or more musicians, aged 21 or under.

Taking place between January and April every year, the Music for Youth Regional Festival series welcomes 40,000 young musicians to take part in the world’s largest youth music festival in 50 locations nationwide.

This is a chance for them to perform and share their music-making, listen to performances from other local groups, meet other musicians, and gain valuable feedback. This is also a chance to learn new skills and get advice on how your group can develop from our team of Music for Youth Music Mentors who give feedback on all performances.
