As well as the main stages of our National Festival, taking place at Symphony Hall, Town Hall, and the CBSO Centre, there's SO MUCH to see and do, so make the most of your session, day, or week by getting involved with our Festival Fringe!
Right across the National Festival week, all performers can get involved with pop-up performances on stages across the City Centre, and loads of different workshops and hands-on sessions for all abilities, led by professional musicians and leading arts organisations.
Highlights this year include Wednesday 4th July which will be a Festival Fringe takeover day at Town Hall Birmingham, with large-scale performances and lots of stuff to get involved with.
There really is something for everyone!

Workshops & Sessions
Be in the Band!
Collaborative and high energy, this workshop improves performance skills by playing current pop hits!
Work on ensemble performance skills while playing and/or singing well-known current pop hits in this open, collaborative and high energy workshop rehearsal led by Andy Stott and the Royal Northern College of Music Session Orchestra at the Town Hall.
The Royal Northern College of Music Session Orchestra is the first ensemble of its kind in a major UK conservatoire. The 40-piece orchestra (rhythm section, strings, brass, percussion and vocalists) performs popular music repertoire conceived for the larger symphonic palette. It brings together musicians from both the classical and popular degree programmes, providing them with industry standard training and professional performance opportunities.
