Regional Festival Series
Sponsored by ABRSM

The world’s largest youth music festival takes place throughout February, March and April with entry opening from September each year with over 50,000 musicians and singers taking part.  Regional Festivals provide a unique opportunity for groups to perform to new audiences, listen to other groups from their area and get valuable feedback from the team of MFY Music Mentors.

What you need to know

  • It’s free to get involved – enter online.
  • Travel subsidies are available to help with transport costs.
  • All groups need two or more members aged 21 and under.
  • All types of groups and styles are welcome.
  • Groups have 10 minutes to perform.
  • Spaces are given on a first-come, first-served basis and we'll only include your first three entries (dependent on space available) unless there is room to include your other groups.

Read More in the Regional Festival Bluffers Guide >

NB: Some spaces still available!
Please check the Regional Festival locations section below to see if a venue near you still has spaces available for you to perform.

Recorded Entries

If you can’t get to a Regional Festival you can still be involved by sending in a recording of your group.

You'll receive feedback from a Music Mentor and will have the opportunity to get involved in other parts of the MFY Season.

Recordings should be sent to MFY on CD or DVD by Monday 12 March. Please ensure recordings are clearly labelled and last no more than 10 minutes.
