MFY National Festival - Satellite Stages 

Are you performing in the National Festival 2016? Did you take part in the Regional Festival Series 2016? Then why not showcase your musical talent to the people of Birmingham? Register your interest to perform on our Satellite Stages via our online booking form.

Below are details about each of the stages including which days the stages will be open.  

Please note, before registering we will require the following information:

  • Information about the group (e.g. number of group members, the instrumental make up of the group). The festival fringe is open to groups who have performed in the Regional Festival Series 2016 only.
  • Two sets of contact information for the designated responsible adults.
  • A mobile telephone number for the lead contact.

Festival Tent Performances

  • Tuesday 5 - Saturday 9 July

Enjoy free performances of a wide range of music in the Festival Tent, Centenary Square. Listen to some of the UK’s most exciting young musicians perform in choirs, steel pan groups, jazz ensembles, folk trios and more. Also, we welcome guest performances by MFY Festival partners throughout the week.

Level 3 Foyer - Symphony Hall

These lunch-time performances will fill the foyers of the Symphony Hall and the Birmingham International Conference Centre - right in the heart of the Music for Youth National Festival.

Brindleyplace Bandstand

  • Tuesday 5 - Thursday 7 July
  • Brindleyplace

This fantastic location in the city centre is where groups will entertain hundreds of passers-by in the heart of the bustling Bridley Place area of Birmingham.

Caffé Nero

  • Wednesday 6 - Saturday 9 July
  • Brindleyplace

A peak spot for the thirsty passers by in Brindleyplace. Groups programmed on this stage will perform laid back tunes to a whole host of locals getting their daily coffee fix.

Birmingham Rep Foyer

  • Wednesday 6 - Friday 8 July
  • Birmingham Rep

Groups will be invited to play for theatre-goers in the foyer and café area of the renowned Birmingham Rep Theatre.
