Friday 4 March 2016 is now full. There are still available places on Saturday 5 March but booking in advance is now closed. We will be accepting walk up on the day but entrance is not guaranteed.

Hosted by BBC Radio Scotland presenter Vic Galloway, Exchange is the unmissable event for any young person passionate about music – whether you’re a young musician, work with young people or the parent of a rising star. 

Exchange provides a unique festival feel combining live performance with hands on music workshops and practical sessions for young acts.From jazz to Gaelic, indie to folk, choral to classical, Exchange is open to all musicians. Last year’s event saw 33 acts performing all styles of music to 350+ people, from as far afield as Orkney to South Lanarkshire.

PARENT PANEL (10:30 - 11:15)
My child would like a career in the Music Industry!
This unique session will help you as a parent when your child expresses an interest in establishing a career in the music industry. Hear experiences from other parents and what support you can give.

Sonic Bothy (12:00 - 13:00 & 13:45 - 14:45) – creative composition in practice (limited capacity)
Oi Musica (15:00 - 16:30) – samba workshop for all those budding drummers out there…! All abilities and musical backgrounds welcome.
Singer/Songwriter Workshop (15:00 - 15:45) - with Carol Laula – limited capacity – bring your instrument
