Each year, approximately 3000 young musicians are invited to perform in Music for Youth’s three Schools Prom concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Of these, about half have been invited as a result of their performances earlier in the year, in our Regional and National Festivals. The other half are involved in Massed Ensemble performances.
Each night, we present one Massed Ensemble performance, which showcases large scale work from an identified region or partnership. In 2013, for the first time, we invited music providers across the country to submit their local work for performance on this national platform. I am pleased to confirm that we would now like to invite your submissions for 2014.
Call for Submissions
This is an opportunity for music providers across the country to tell us about any large scale projects you are currently producing for 2014, and to submit your project for consideration as one of the featured Massed Ensemble performances in our Schools Prom in November.
We would like to invite you to tell us about your work and submit a project proposal. Please note, we are not able to offer funding for your project, but can offer an exciting performance platform for existing work which you think would benefit from further exposure as part of our season.
The deadline for receipt of proposals (max two pages) is Friday 10th January 2014, and we aim to confirm the 2014 Massed Ensemble projects by 31st January.
For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to receive guidance and information on how to put together your proposal.
