Music for Youth (MFY) is an established London based music education charity, founded in 1970, which provides high quality performance and development opportunities for young musicians all over the UK. Through an annual season of festivals, concerts and special projects, including over 60 Regional Festivals, a six day National Festival and the Schools Prom concerts, MFY works with schools, music hubs and the wider community, offering a progression model whereby locally created work can be presented nationally.
Music for Youth now seeks an Operations and Finance Manager to work with the new Chief Executive as part of the Senior Management Team as the organisation moves into the next phase of its development. This new role will have overall responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of the Music for Youth office. Specifically, this includes the finance and HR functions, and aspects of income generation. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Operations and Finance Manager will also contribute to the strategic direction of the charity.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing finance, and of working at a senior level preferably within an arts and/or educational environment.
