Music for Youth is a nationally acclaimed, London-based music education charity,
whose aim is to create high quality music performance and audience opportunities
for young people. Founded in 1970, the charity works to inspire young people from
all backgrounds to engage in music and fulfil their musical potential through a
nationwide series of events, including the Schools Proms, Regional Festival Series
and the National Festival, held at the Royal Albert Hall and other major venues
around the country.
Music for Youth now seeks a Chief Executive to lead the organisation to ensure
continued achievement of the organisation’s agenda and successful delivery of high
profile, national events and activities for young musicians. Working closely with
internal and external stakeholders, the Chief Executive will oversee the development
of Music for Youth in its artistic vision, financial stability and the expansion of its
profile nationally and internationally.
The ideal candidate will be a senior manager with a background in music and/or
education and a track record in leading an organisation successfully through change
