Music for Youth (MFY) is looking for a highly organised, unflappable arts education professional to join its busy Programmes team as a Head of Programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced arts event manager with a passion for developing educational opportunities with young people to play a key part in this ambitious organisation.

Music for Youth presents life changing performance opportunities for the UK's talented young musicians through a large scale programme of high quality music festivals, public concerts and specialist events delivered in partnership with major concert halls, arts venues, music education providers and professional artists.

Established over 40 years ago, MFY is a unique national organisation with a strong and established reputation, reaching over 60,000 musicians annually, and showcasing the most talented young performers at its prestigious and spectacular Prom concerts in London's Royal Albert Hall.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation, which has recently become a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England. The Head of Programmes leads MFY's Programmes team, and is responsible for the successful management, delivery and development of all MFY events. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will work closely with the Chief Executive on strategic planning, artistic vision, and developing new and innovative projects which you will help to make a reality.

You will have a passion for music, and a commitment to and understanding of the value of arts education, as well as a strong background in arts event management and music education project management.
