Hosta at the 2013 Schools Prom

Hosta at the 2013 Schools Prom.

MFY is delighted to announce that we have been awarded further funding from Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative to continue our work in Scotland.

MFY has been delivering a programme in Scotland since 2011 and have created opportunities for over 5000 young people to access a national programme of events either as performers or audience. Following completion of our programme in 2013, MFY undertook a full consultation with young people and key stakeholders to develop a new programme of activity up to 2016.

Our new programme will include a range of activity including an engagement programme working in local areas, the development of a young curators group, and an annual two-day national Exchange Event taking place in the spring. In addition, we will continue to offer opportunities for young people from Scotland to take part in MFY events across the border, including the Schools Prom concerts at Royal Albert Hall, London.

Our Scotland Coordinator, Jennifer McGlone, will be out and about promoting opportunities for groups to get involved in the programme so watch out for her as she will be attending various events over the coming months!

You can contact Jennifer on or 0141 237 4270. MFY is always looking for new partners to collaborate with so get in touch.
