Free Opportunities at National Festival 2018 - Tuesday 3rd - Saturday 7th July
Tuesday 3 July 2018
Schools Concert: Rhythm and Song - Free Tickets
Join Music for Youth for our first ever Schools Concert as part of the 2018 National Festival as we explore using the body as an instrument. Inspirational presenter, musician and workshop leader Sam Dunkley will engage your young people in a unique educational experience at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
Sam will guide you through an interactive concert full of participation covering singing and body percussion. This is not your typical schools concert; you and your class will get the chance to hear performances from a variety of young performers from Birmingham and across the UK.
As well as providing a truly inspirational and engaging experience, attending this concert helps you complete two parts of Arts Award Discover and will contribute towards a variety of criteria required as part of the Artsmark journey.
There is plenty more to see and do at the National Festival if you can’t attend the Schools Concert. If you’re looking for ideas to use in the classroom, look no further than Infinity LIVE! on Thursday 5 July.
